Campaign contribution information

Judicial candidates in Denton County may not accept political contributions exceeding $2,500. We must have your full name and address on all contributions. Contributions identified only by an email address cannot be accepted. We must report addresses for all contributors to the Texas Ethics Commission.

State law also requires us to use best efforts to collect and report the principal occupation (or job title) and the full name of employer of individuals whose contributions equal or exceed $500 in a reporting period. If you are contributing $500 or more during any six-month period, please include your occupation and employer information with your contribution.

Contributions are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes and that under Texas law, any person, partnership or political action committee may contribute to legislative campaigns. Corporations are prohibited from contributing. However, limited liability corporations (LLPs) and professional corporations (PCs) may contribute. There are no restrictions based on the location of the contributor.
